Im Spieljahr 1953/54 schickte die BSG Chemie eind Dritte Mannschafts ins Rennen. Als Chemie Abt. 2 spielte die Mannschaft in der 3. Kreisklasse Leipzig. Bei Zehn Mannschaften in der Staffel wurde nur der letzte Platz belegt. Nur gegen die SG Meuchen (zwei Siege 4:2 und 2:1) und Rotation Süd (5:1) konnte gewonnen werden. Nach Saisonende wurde die Mannschaft wieder aus den Spielbetrieb genommen.
