Auch in der Saison 1967/68 wurde am Saisonende der 2. Platz belegt. Nur zwei Niederlagen standen zu Buche die allesamt am Anfang der Saison eingefahren wurden. Gegen den Aufsteiger LVB wurden immerhin drei Punkte eingefahren. Letzden endes nutzte dies nichts.
