Wie schon in der Saison
1987/88 wurde der sechste Platz belegt. In der Meisterschaft konnten wiedereinmal
gegen die Top-Teams nicht gewonnen werden. Dafür konnte im Bezirkspokal
das Finale erreicht werden. Dieses wurde gegen die Zweite vom 1. FC Lok mit
3:4 in Sermuth verloren. Da aber die Zweite von Lok aufgelöst wurde
konnte man in der neuen Saison im FDGB-Pokal starten.
